Evangel Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and all gifts are tax deductible. Year-end receipts are sent upon request.

Your tax deductable gifts to Evangel Home are our only source of income. As a matter of policy, we do not take funds from any government agency to avoid having to make operational changes to our ministry.

We require $65,000 a month to operate our programs at optimum level. We squeeze every penny out of every dollar and still try to maintain three months of operating reserves.

Partly due to high unemployment in our area, Evangel Home is seeing an increase in demand for our services. Will you help us minister to homeless women and children during this difficult time? Cash

This is how we receive the majority of our gifts. Checks can be given on a regular basis such as once a month or once a quarter. Simply write a check in any amount to Evangel Home and mail it to 137 N. Yosemite Ave., Fresno, CA 93701.
 
Thank you letters are sent to each separate donation and cash gifts of at least $250 are also given a receipt.
 
As a matter of policy, Evangel Home has never received government funds and all gifts are used to directly support the programs and people of the ministry. Please see our most recent statistics for a breakdown of income and expenditures.

One-Time Gifts
Many friends find it best to give a gift once a year, often in December. These gifts are receipted for the current tax year and acknowledged in writing as a tax-deductible donation. One-time gifts may be made by check, electronic funds transfer, or online giving. Since these gifts often come at the end of the year, some people hand deliver them right to our office door at 137 N. Yosemite Ave. Fresno, CA 93701.
 
Gifts in Memory or Honor
Giving in memory of a loved one or in honor of an anniversary or special event is a wonderful way to recognize loved ones while at the same time helping others.

Gifts-in-Kind

Evangel Home does not sell any donated items. The majority of items are used on our property in one of our programs. If we receive an abundance of any item or product, we pass it on to former residents or other ministries.
 
Food
We serve about 100 meals a day so there is always a need for fresh fruits, vegetables and canned food. We strive to teach our women the value of good nutrition and healthy eating habits. For many, meals at Evangel Home are their introduction to family style meals served at regular times.
 
Clothing, Linen and Bath Towels
New or gently used clothing for both women and children is greatly appreciated. Our women come in all sizes, shapes and ages. Casual clothing, underwear, sox and loose T-shirts are always needed.
 
Furniture
We are limited in what we can accept in this area because we have very little storage space. We tend to have specific needs at certain times and them we ask for those items. We cannot pick up donations.
 
Paper Products
This is one area where we experience shortages. We have a continual need for toilet paper, facial tissue and paper towels. Another constant need is feminine hygiene products.

Wills
Including us in your will ensures our future. Since our founding in 1955, gifts left to us in wills and trusts have provided the majority of our growth income. We have been able to remain debt-free and to expand our services to homeless women and children largely because of people who believe in this ministry and want it carried on.
 
Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust
Allows you to retain income from your property or investment for as long as you specify. When the Trust ends, the reminder is given to the charity of your choice.
 
Charitable Remainder Trust
Provides for a gift that returns an income. Each year a percentage of the value of the Trust is paid to you or to others you designate.
